SWEET CITRUS HONEYDEW BLEND

Happy Saturday, friends!

Spring is officially here, warm weather and all and I am PUMPED about it! One step closer to summer 

As promised on my Instagram, here is the recipe for a refreshing smoothie bowl! It’s the perfect  

s p r i n g  treat. Mostly sweet, a little citrus tart and almost too pretty to eat!

S w e e t  C i t r u s  H o n e y d e w  B l e n d

INGREDIENTS:

Blend: 

2 Cups Frozen Honeydew

3 TBSP Raw Honey

Juice of 2 Small Limes

Juice of 1/2 Grapefruit

Juice of 1/2 Lemon

1/2 tsp Maca Powder

1/2 tsp Wheatgrass Powder

Toppings: 

Hemp Seeds

Raw Cashews

Sliced Citrus

Unsweetened Coconut Flakes

Pretty Baby Flowers

DIRECTIONS:

Add all of your ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth. It may take a little longer to blend because there isn’t very much liquid in this recipe, but be patient! The less liquid you add, the thicker and better the consistency is! It helps if you use a tamper to push the mixture towards the blades.

When everything is fully blended, add to your favorite serving bowl. My FAVORITE and always go to is my raw, bio degradable Coconut Bowls! Check out their website, it’s an amazing company.

Next, add your toppings and make it look pretty! (This is the best part of the recipe in my opinion:) )

This recipe also doubles as a POPSICLE mixture! all you have to do is add it to a popsicle mold and leave it in the freezer over night! The only thing to tweak would be to add a bit of water to the mixture so it is easier to add to your popsicle mold! Drizzle with a bit of honey after taking them out of the freezer and enjoy!

Finally, I wanted to share some of the HEALTH BENEFITS of the ingredients that I used in this recipe!

Hemp seeds: They are a great source of protein and healthy fats. They are also super high in vitamin E which helps your body to fight against free radicals.

Wheatgrass Powder: This is an amazing way to get some GREEN into your system! Personally, I can’t have dark leafy greens such as kale or spinach because my body does not digest them correctly. So, wheatgrass powder is a great alternative to these because it also carries the same essential vitamins like E and A as well as protein.

Grapefruit Juice: As a talked about in one of my latest Instagram Posts, grapefruit juice is GREAT for boosting you immune system! It’s a staple in my fridge, especially during allergy season!
