HONEY COCO SKIN SCRUB!

There are so many beauty products out there to be used. I think we have an amazing opportunity to take advantage of the natural things that are available to us! It is better for the environment and better for our bodies! My recipe for this Honey Coco Skin Scrub includes ingredients that most of you can find in your kitchen and they are SO good for you!

RECIPE:

Ingredients:

1 Cup Fresh Ground Coffee Beans (I used Kona Coffee Beans but whatever you have at home will work)

1/2 Cup Coconut Sugar

1/2 Cup Coconut Oil

1/4 Cup Raw Honey

1/4 Cup Avocado Oil

Directions:

Make sure your coffee beans are finely ground. If they are too coarse, the scrub will just kind of fall apart! Mix together all the ingredients and store in a glass jar with a lid. (SO SIMPLE!)

To use:

Take a small amount of the scrub and rub gently onto your skin. When you’re finished, just wash off with a warm, damp wash cloth. This scrub can be used on pretty much any part of your body; face, hands, legs, feet, etc. It can also be used as a makeup remover because of the coconut oil! Personally, I like to use this scrub on a makeup free face.

The ingredients in this scrub have SO many benefits for your skin!! Here’s a few of them:

AVOCADO OIL:

Avocado oil is extremely hydrating and it works on softening your skin as well. It also has been known to treat blackheads and acne!

COCONUT OIL:

Like above, Coconut Oil is very hydrating. It is also a natural cleanser. Like I mentioned earlier, it can be used for a makeup remover because of its deep cleaning properties. It is also anti bacterial and anti fungal so it helps prevent future acne and blackheads!

RAW HONEY:

Definitely make sure you use raw honey so you stay away from any chemicals that can be found in pasteurized honey. The enzymes in honey cleanse your pores and privet future breakouts.

COCONUT SUGAR and COFFEE BEANS:

These are both really great exfoliators! They gently work on removing dirt and dry skin, and who doesn’t love the smell of coffee!
